On a weekend in February, Aikyam participated in the cultural sharing celebration organised by Andover Cultural Sharing Forum.
Residents were invited to a celebration which aimed to connect people through music, food, shows, and activities for all ages, highlighting the town’s rich diversity and allowing people to learn about different cultures.
‘Try some different’ was a humble effort to present a glimpse of India’s vast and diverse collections of saris and their different draping styles to the community, which was enthusiastically welcomed!
ikyam Christmas Raffle for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice
This Christmas, Aikyam had the privilege of arranging a heartfelt raffle in support of the incredible nurses and carers at The Countess of Brecknock Hospice. These dedicated professionals provide compassionate, specialist care to patients and their families during some of life’s most difficult moments. Their service is a cornerstone of our community, offering comfort, dignity, and unwavering support when it’s needed most.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated so generously in the raffle. Your kindness and contributions have not only brought festive cheer but have also made a meaningful impact in recognising and supporting the hospice team’s invaluable work. Thank you for standing with us in celebrating and honouring those who give so much to others.
We recently celebrated Diwali, the Festival of Lights, with the Andover Cultural Sharing Forum, bringing together our wonderfully diverse community in the true spirit of inclusion and cultural unity.
It was an evening filled with warmth, meaningful conversations, and shared joy. The event was even more special as we prepared delicious home cooked Indian food for dinner. Everyone enjoyed it to their hearts content
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate light, togetherness, and the beauty of our shared cultures.
